New Delhi: Though Esha Gupta is just one film old, still she has been perceived as an actress with potential. Her first film ‘Jannat 2’ received commercial success at the box office, and now she is all set to woo the audiences in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Raaz 3’. She opens her heart about the idea behind the ‘Raaz 3’, her chemistry with co-actors and her journey in Bollywood so far.

Q: You seem to have a very good tuning with Emraan Hashmi.

A: (Sigh) I love Emraan, he has been really wonderful to me. He understands how a newcomer is scared and petrified all the time.

For me the most difficult thing was the first day of ‘Jannat’, that too at Daryagang road where more than ten thousand people were gathered. I come from Delhi, so I know how Daryagang is. When they told me, ‘O you are shooting in Daryagang,’ and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I had never given a shot in front of a moving camera, so I was really petrified. Then I saw Emraan, he is great actor you know, he used to give one take shots, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, in this heat, I have to give many takes because I couldn’t get it.’

Every time I used to say something, people started shouting, but Emraan really helped me at that time. Once again, ‘Raaz 3’ got easier because of Emraan. It’s a more difficult and challenging role for me. Emotionally, it’s very strong, it’s stronger than what Sanjana’s character was in ‘Raaz’.

Q: How are you going to be different than Biapsha of ‘Raaz’?

A: Sanjana’s character was only getting scared, yelling, screaming, but my role is much more than that. Even Vikram had to evolve because people expect more from him, but you know after one point of time, when Emraan found that now she is taking things easily, so he used to only pull my leg when we were on the sets.

Q: It must have been very demanding on the emotional front.

A: As you have seen in the promos that I am crying, there are ghosts and all, at that time, I used to cut down from everyone, I was not even reading. I used to remain in one corner because it’s really difficult to come in and out of the required mood; it’s not a nice feeling all the time, so apart from that, when we had normal scenes, he was making fun of me, pulling my leg and all.

I also used to irritate him a lot, I think I was the only clown for him. Once he said, ‘Why you are not tired after such a long shooting,’ and I said, ‘I just love it, it’s just my second film. Plus it’s 3D, how much can I get.’ And I made friends with everyone, my make up artists and stylists were my closest friends on the sets.

I love the 3D team; they were also the part of ‘Avatar’ team. DOP Praveen sir, who is Vikram’s father as well, was the coolest person there.

Q: Though it’s a rarity in Bollywood but you have a lot of good things to say about Bipasha.

A: Bipasha and I had only two scenes together, so we were together for only four days. You know, Bipasha is very secured and I am very secured as well. I have listened to the script, ‘Raaz 3’ is about these three characters and Vikram has played it so cleverly that one is one the darker side while the other is on the positive side. I am a rising star while Bipasha is an established star who is falling down.

Q: The promos of ‘Raaz 3’ suggest that we are going to see Bipasha in a very strong role, and spotlight will be on her.

A: See, the thing is they had to show me stronger for Bipasha to feel insecure; Sanjana had to be good to make Shanaya insecure. Esha Gupta as an actor, looks wise, style wise, dialogue wise, acting, dance, whatever, she had to be good to meet the expectation level. These things were required to make Sanjana eligible for the black magic act.

Q: Loud characters don’t always make strong characters.

A: Exactly, both of us are subdued, we are not loud, you know, you don’t always need to say that you’re the best. Sometimes even silence makes it better.

Q: Are you ready to be compared with Sanjana of ‘Raaz’ because it seems inevitable.

A: It came in 2002, I wasn’t allowed to watch ‘Raaz’, it was an adult film na. At that time, I never thought of doing such a film. For me what was scary is that ‘Sanjana, Sanjana’ happening in the background. I thought who gets scared like that, but when I had to react like that I was like, ‘Baba re, aise kaun darta hai (Who gets scared like that). So, for me, the exciting thing was Bipasha of ‘Jism’ who I drooled over, and Emraan, who I fell in love after ‘Zehar’. For every man, Emraan is his role model because he gets to kiss the hottest women in the industry.

Q: How do you want to be perceived by the audiences after ‘Raaz 3’?

A: I guess, people already know who Esha Gupta is, after ‘Raaz 3’, they’ll know what Esha Gupta is. (Smiles)

Sunny Leone is a Canadian pornographic actress, actress, businesswoman and model of dual Canadian/U.S. nationality. Early life

All the cover girls of the magazine have to share the bed with the owner Hugh Hufner.  The starlet has uploaded lots of her recent photos on the internet that shows Sherlyn striking a pose in nude while doing the photo shoot for Playboy. The eye candy is looking ravishing and she has left nothing hidden for her fans to imagine.

Quoting about landing the coveted deal with Playboy, she stated “I did not sleep with Mr Hefner. No one at the (Playboy) mansion has till date made an indecent proposal to me. I love my naked skin. Felt quite comfortable displaying my nakedness … that is all.”

Incidentally, she is the first Indian to appear on the covers of the magazine. It all started in May this year when she mailed Hufner, and communicated her willingness to be on the cover of the magazine. This triggered a chain of events and finally culiminated in her favor. Reminicising on landing the job Ms. Chopra stated, “While most girls are first called for a test shoot, I should thank him for having faith in me by providing me the opportunity without an audition.”

She is visibly excited with the assignment, as she added “It is the first time that the magazine has executed as many as 15 concepts for a model. When people see me, they will go wow,” she says, undeterred by the backlash. “People back there could not believe that an Indian could do this!”

Outlook does same a Time magazine cold war starts

There’s an image of a confident Barack Obama. The headline, aping the Time magazine headline of the cover which featured Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, calling him “The Underachiever” is exactly the same.

This time, it is an Indian magazine which calls the American President an underachiever. “America needed a reboot – he promised hope and change. Four years on, President Barack Obama’s sheen is gone. Can his lofty rhetoric carry him home again?”, says the blurb.

Do enough Indians want a detailed analysis of the Obama presidency for it to merit a cover story? Were there no other stories that could have made it to the cover?

The forthcoming issue ofOutlook (which will probably be in print as this is being written) also has a story on Rajesh Khanna’s passing and another on 80 years of Indian cricket.

Both Rajesh Khanna and cricket, one imagines, could have been the cover story as well.

But neither would have got Outlook the PR mileage that the Obama cover will generate. As far as Rajesh Khanna is concerned, newspapers and television have left little uncovered for the news magazines – all that they’re left with is crumbs. 80 years of cricket might be a tantalizing cover when India was playing an exciting, closely fought series or tournament – and a team without Sachin playing Sri Lanka can hardly be called exciting.

That’s what makes the Obama cover a clever marketing gimmick. Tomorrow, when the newsmagazines hit the stands, it’s the Obama cover which will stand out, not the Rajesh Khanna ones. And the image of the cover will be forwarded, shared, liked and commented upon on twitter and facebook by late today.

And, as a bonus, Manmohan Singh might be pleased – and he might smile when he sees the cover.

"JOKER" akshay kumar 100th movie

The trailers of JOKER that have been released in the cinema halls recently have started creating a buzz about Akshay Kumar's new film on offer, which is going to hit the screens in the month of August. For Akshay Kumar it would be a matter of pride that with JOKER his century of films in Hindi cinema would be completed. 

Indeed, JOKER is going to be the 100th film for Akshay Kumar in his long acting career. For Akshay Kumar, it indeed is a lucky year as two of his films HOUSEFULL 2 and ROWDY RATHORE have crossed 100 crore mark. Kumar would be hoping that JOKER should overhaul the collections of both these films as he has as his co-star Sonakshi Sinha in JOKER as well. 


For Akshay Kumar it certainly is a monumental achievement as he has reached this position without any godfather in the industry or having a genealogy that could help him to make his debut. His sojourn has been an exercise that is full of trials and tribulations, or rather baptism by fire so to say, but he has made his mark and reached a position where now he on his own commands initial opening at the box office.

But Akshay Kumar should thank one man for the position that he has reached today. As it has been informed by Christina Daniels in the Biography of Aamir Khan, I Will Do It My Way, Akshay Kumar had appeared for screen test for the role in JO JEETA WOHI SIKANDAR which ultimately went to Deepak Tijori. Had Akshay Kumar been cast in this role in JO JEETA WOHI SIKANDAR, who knows where he would have been today. 

But that is what fate is all about and that is why perhaps he is known as the Khiladi Kumar, or a player who is not bothered to take the risks to make his mark. JOKER seems to be a good sci-fi film and the manner in which the genre is being appreciated by the audience and the kind of special effects that have employed in the film JOKER should turn out to be perhaps another 100 crore venture as well. 

For all the stakeholders, be it Farah Khan, Akshay Kumar, Shirish Kunder, indeed JOKER should make a mark. It can be catalyzed, if JOKER is publicized as Akshay Kumar's 100th film. May be the publicity department associated with JOKER should take a not
